For fact or fiction, entertainment or study , the 9,000 book lending library provides a constantly renewed source of satisfaction, challenge and knowledge. There are large print books, talking books and music CDs, as well as a reference section including many volumes of local history for those with an enquiring mind.

Maintain and develop your special interests , enjoy courses in subjects as diverse as art, languages, yoga, creative writing, history and card-making. Listen to experts on special or topical subjects, or get out-and-about with visits to heritage sites, gardens, theatres and galleries.
